Red Star Basketball Camp UK is very excited to announce that Anna Nevison, former Red Star Camper and current NCAAII Scholarship athlete at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, will return to the coaching staff for our 2024 camp.
Coach Nevison has long been associated with camp and will join us after her first season in Alaska as a collegiate athlete.
Camp Director Matt Newby was delighted to see such a longstanding member of the Red Star Camp family return to Leeds once again:
“We always look forward to welcoming Anna back to camp, year in year out, both as a player and as a coach, Anna strives to get the highest return on the court. She is an excellent role model for young female athletes, having achieved a great deal both on the court and in the classroom. As a scholarship athlete at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she has fulfilled her childhood dream and again, for our campers, she is an excellent example of what can be achieved when you are motivated and have a great work ethic. As a former camper, she understands the richness of our environment and how you can best achieve the highest returns in the off-season, which of course, is what camp is all about.”
Ahead of a sold out, record-breaking camp in 2024, Coach Nevison is excited to be back in Leeds:
“I’m thankful to get the chance to run it back again for my third year at camp! Every year brings new challenges and I’m excited to get the chance to learn from the experienced coaches that will be around me. Most of all I’m excited to work with both returning and first time campers. Red star gives me the opportunity to give back to the camp that gave me so much and I can’t wait to get started."
Red Star Camp UK 2024 is now 99% sold out - We look forward to welcoming all our campers to Leeds on 29th July.
