BBL Legend Charles Smith returns to run it back on our 2024 camp!

Red Star Basketball Camp UK is excited to announce that Newcastle Eagles All-Time Leading Scorer Charles Smith will be rejoining the coaching staff for Red Star Camp UK 2024.

After winning 21 trophies with the Eagles, Coach Smith remained in the North East to begin his coaching career and is now Assistant Coach at NBL Division 1 Newcastle University.

Director Matt Newby was over the moon to welcome back such a household names with a distinguished career to camp:

“Charles’s first year of camp in 2023 was very impactful, with players really enjoying both his on-court presence and insightful lectures. He had had one of the most storied careers in the domestic game and his journey is a great narrative for young players to learn from. Charles will share a great deal of his journey with the campers, from college, to Europe, to being a perennial winner in the British Basketball League. We can't wait to welcome Coach Smith back to the Red Star family this summer."

Ahead of a sold out, record-breaking camp in 2024, Coach Smith is excited to be back in Leeds:
