Red Star Basketball Camp UK is delighted to announce that Coach Dimitris Zacharias will be joining our coaching team for 2023.
Greek National Zacharias will take the helm of the Horsholm 79ers in Denmark this coming season following over 20 years of Head Coaching experience in Greece, Ireland, Egypt, Iceland and Tunisia, claiming many titles in both the Men's and Women's games. Most recently he coached in BAL and FIBA Intercontinental Cup with US Monastir against BCL Champions Lenovo Tenerife, G-League Champions Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Latin America Champions Sao Paulo.
Coach Zacharias has also coached on camps in Lithuania, France, Denmark & Ireland and will provide invaluable insight and experience for this year's campers.
Camp Director Matt Newby was buoyed by the addition of another experienced and successful coach to the 2023 roster:
“We have an aspiration of continuing to enhance the experience for our campers and ensure we bring coaches to camp with a wide range of experiences. Dimitris has an excellent resumé and has worked within and developed some excellent pathways for players. He has extensive coaching experience within the Men’s and Women’s game and we are excited to have him on our team."
Following the success of Red Star Camp 2022, Coach Zacahrias is looking forward to joining the coaching team this year:
