The team behind Red Star Camp UK are announcing a brand new addition to the UK summer basketball development scene with an elite proposition.
Following extensive growth over the last five years, and having already sold out our annual Red Star performance camp in just 5 days for 2025, we are left with the unique opportunity to extend our offer to young people based in the UK.
New for 2025, we will be offering the first ever ‘Red Star Elite Week’ in August next year, with the aspiration of providing a platform for young people whose potential is already evident, to match up with the best the UK has to offer. Furthermore, they will work with hand-picked Coaching staff, professional role-models and sports science professionals to advance, educate and develop the individual’s comprehension of the elite-professional domain.
The first Red Star Elite Week will be open to young men aged 15-18 who are born between between 1st September 2007 & 31st August 2010. Applicants must be enrolled or considering enrolment at an EABL or CBL institution for the 2025/26 academic year. Applications may also be considered from those playing Junior National League Premier at U16 or U18, or on a case-by-case basis from those not currently involved at this level.
Red Star Elite Week participants will be engaged in:
High-level technical detail
Position-specific curriculum
Individual development plans both physically and technically
Lectures & seminars from global experts
Competitive basketball in both 3x3 and 5x5 formats
Opportunities to network with and learn from, elite-level pro players & coaches
Advice and guidance for post-19 exit routes both collegiate & pro
Sports science & nutrition advice
Access to film of all competitive play
Red Star UK Director Matt Newby was delighted that we are in a position to broaden the offer that our camps have:
“Clearly there is a significant appetite for what we are doing and what we have done. With the 2025 residential performance camp already sold out, we have decided to strengthen our offer by providing an opportunity for aspiring elite-athletes to make the next step. We see this as a bridging-piece between our high-level performance camp and the destinations our young athletes have aspirations of reaching, whether that’s domestically or internationally.
In the first cycle of Red Star Elite Week, this will be an all-male proposition, however the aspiration is that we will mirror this with an all-female offer in 2026.”
Please complete an expression of interest now by completing this form.
We hope to be in a position to release full details for Red Star Elite Week by 31st August 2024.
