Red Star Elite Week 2025 is delighted to announce that Coach Craig Nicol has confirmed his attendance at our inaugural Elite Week Camp this summer.

Following an exciting assignment to the Delhi Dribblers of the INBL Pro in India this year, Coach Nicol is back in the UK and will return to Leeds for the first ever Elite Week Camp Having been to over 10 European Championships as a coach within the Scottish and Great Britain National Team programmes, we are privileged that Coach Nicol has chosen to join us once again this year.
Craig has one of the most impressive resumes in Great Britain, with significant international experience and a reputation for developing next-level players. His presence at Elite Week will ensure that we have an incredibly experienced and robust cohort of coaches. Craig has the ability to deliver the game in detail with a strong attention to detail and a catalogue of experiences that have helped him become one of the stronger domestic coaches in the modern game.
Director Matt Newby was delighted to confirm Coach Nicol would be heading back down to Leeds this summer:
"The premise of the Elite Week is to give our campers the very best experience and to ensure that they get the very best basketball education. Craig's experiences as a National Teams Coach have seen him travel the world, most notably to the Commonwealth Games. These experiences have shaped huis teaching, delivery and presence, which are all exemplary. I am thankful that the players at Elite Week will be the beneficiaries of his high-level experience."
