Talented Young Coach joins from the Eagles Nest.

Red Star Basketball Camp 2025 is delighted to announce that Coach Frank Thomas will join the coaching roster for our 2025 camp in Leeds.

Red Star Camp UK 2025 has landed one of the best up and coming coaches in the North East in Coach Frank Thomas. Frank is a coach that is embedded within the community and Junior National League aspects of the Newcastle Eagles programme, working under the guidance and mentorship of Ian McLeod and Anthony Reed. His passion and enthusiasm for youth basketball is infectious and his future looks very bright with appointments within the Basketball England talent pathway at the Aspire and Super-Regional level.

Director Matt Newby was feeling positive about appointing another talented young coach:

"Having spent some time in the North East, I have had the opportunity to see Frank develop and grow as a coach and his engagement across the Eagles Community, Development and Performance programmes is impressive. He is a committed young man, an excellent addition to our staff for this summer and I look forward to seeing him on the floor, bringing high energy and strong teaching.

Ahead of her first summer in Leeds, Coach Thomas was excited to be on the floor at Red Star Camp UK:
