Elite Week UK 2026

Monday 20th to Friday 24th July 2026.

Elite Week UK will return for a second year in 2026 and is specifically designed for young athletes looking to take the next step in their basketball journey.

To be eligible for Elite Week, applicants must be born between 01/08/2008 and 31/08/2011 and have made a commitment or have an aspiration to play basketball at an elite level. For applicants from the UK, this would be identified by a commitment to play for a school that competes in the CBL or EABL, or a club that competes at the U16/U18 Premier National League Level.

For applicants outside the UK, this would be recognised by an equivalent level competition.

Applicants may also be accepted from outside of this criteria on a case by case basis.

RED STAR CAMPS UK

What is Red Star Camp UK?

Following highly successful camps in 2018-2019 & 2022-2025 Red Star Basketball will return for its seventh year in the UK in 2026, with three different camps available to book. The camps is a product of the cooperation agreement between the City of Leeds Basketball program and European giant KK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade).

The camp focuses on the development of young and talented players by providing a unique environment where players are completely immersed in basketball activities from 09:00 to 21:00 daily over five days. The camps are open to girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18 with residential and non-residential options.

The Red Star Basketball Camp staff are handpicked specifically to guide the young athletes through the week and maximise their potential, with their development and enjoyment our priority. They will receive world class instruction with a strong emphasis on skill acquisition, decision making and the development of their basketball IQ. 

The professional team KK Crvena Zvezda (Red Star Belgrade) have been ever present on the European basketball landscape and have an unparalleled reputation in youth development.  They currently compete in the Euroleague, the Adriatic League and the Serbian Super League and have fostered some of the biggest talents in the European game. Serbian basketball continues to influence the global landscape with many coaches plying their trade overseas influencing how other nations approach player development and the fundamental delivery of the game from a technical and tactical perspective.  

The Serbian national team is ranked #3 in the world in the current (FIBA) rankings with a national population of 8 million people., while the USA ranked # 1 has a population of 329 Million people. This statistic alone highlights the significance of the sport to this nation and underwrites the fact that they get an unparalleled return from their basketball fraternity.  The sport is a religion to the Serbian people and the passion and desire to compete is unparalleled.
